「Half-Life: Alyx」歴史あるゲーム賞「D.I.C.E. Awards」で5部門ノミネート

2020年の優れたゲームを決定する第24回「D.I.C.E. Awards」のノミネート作品（ファイナリスト）が発表され、VRゲーム「Half-Life: Alyx」が5部門にノミネートされました。

各部門ごとのノミネート作品は下記の通りです。

◇Immersive Reality Game of the Year（VRゲーム部門）
・Half-Life: Alyx
・ダウン・ザ・ラビットホール
・Paper Beast
・The Room VR: A Dark Matter
・The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

◇Immersive Reality Technical Achievement（VR/AR技術部門）
・Half-Life: Alyx
・マリオカートライブホームサーキット
・Museum of Other Realities
・Paper Beast
・Tempest

その他「Action Game of the Year」、「Outstanding Achievement in Game Design」、「Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction」の3部門にもノミネートされています。

また、最も優れたストラテジー、シミュレーションゲームが対象となる「Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year」には「Microsoft Flight Simulator」がノミネートしています。

受賞作の発表は2021年4月8日。今年はオンラインでの開催になるとのことです。

「D.I.C.E. Awards」は20年以上の歴史を誇る、世界で最も権威あるゲーム賞のひとつ。これまでに「ゴールデンアイ 007」、「ゼルダの伝説時のオカリナ」、「ハーフライフ2」、「コールオブデューティ4 モダン・ウォーフェア」、「風ノ旅ビト」、「オーバーウォッチ」など、多くの名作が最も優れたゲームに贈られる「Game of the Year（GOTY）」の栄誉に輝いています。

2019年は「Untitled Goose Game ～いたずらガチョウがやって来た!～」がGOTYを受賞。
VRゲームでは「Immersive Reality Game of the Year」を「Pistol Whip」、「Immersive Reality Technical Achievement」を「Blood & Truth（邦題：ライアン・マークスリベンジミッション）」が受賞しています。
