BANDAI SPIRITS and Sony Music Entertainment have announced additional sessions of “High Quality Gunpla Scan Service,” an event that allows users to 3D scan their Gunpla models and enjoy them in a digital space. The service will gradually launch at THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO (Tokyo) starting May 30, 2026. The event will run until September 27, 2026.
This service allows users to scan their own Gundam model kits using the high-definition 3D scanning machine “SCANOSYS” and record them as high-quality 3D data. Within the basic fee (2,200 yen including tax), users can view the 3D data and experience five basic actions in the digital space. The entire process, from scanning to viewing the 3D data and operating in the digital space, is completed within the venue.

Several additional paid content options are available. You can enjoy creating diorama movies in a digital space, or challenge yourself in score attack modes where you control Gunpla to defeat enemy units. Experience a new way to enjoy Gunpla, which were previously only for display, by moving and playing with them digitally.
Reservations are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis on the official website starting at 3 PM on May 18th. Reservation slots will be opened periodically, so regular checks of the official website are recommended. Parental consent is required for applications from minors, and children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a guardian.
The first trial of this service was held at THE GUNDAM BASE FUKUOKA in February 2025, followed by a second trial in Odaiba, Tokyo in November of the same year. Following this additional event, further expansion to other locations is being considered.
Please check the official website for details about the service.
