Next-generation character summoning device "Gatebox3" preview, crowdfunding to begin in April

Gatebox Inc. plans to launch crowdfunding for its next-generation model, Gatebox3, in the spring of 2026. Pre-registration is currently being accepted on the official website.

Gatebox is a character summoning device that projects 3D models. Its purpose is to create the experience of living with a character. Up until now, it has collaborated with many character works, such as “The Idolmaster” and “Girls Band Club,” allowing users to enjoy the performance of characters appearing as digital figures.

The newly announced Gatebox3 is currently under development as a display in which characters appear like holograms and can be used to communicate. It combines a high-definition organic EL display with a lighting effect of 300 LEDs, making the characters’ presence stand out more beautifully than ever before.

In the future, they aim to display videos generated by AI such as Gemini and Grok on Gatebox3, creating a dream display that allows users to freely summon their ideal characters. They are currently working on the development of the second prototype, and will gradually release new features and experiences in preparation for crowdfunding in April.
