OpenHeart Co., Ltd. has launched its 3D photo service, “TAVIO Dive.” It was released on March 18th as an app specifically for the Apple Vision Pro spatial computer.
TAVIO Dive is an app that allows users to experience 3D photos posted to “TAVIO,” a 3D photo web service operated by the company, in a spatial setting on Apple Vision Pro. While TAVIO is a service that generates, saves, and shares 3D scenes from photos and videos, TAVIO Dive specializes in experiencing those 3D scenes in a spatial environment. Based on the concept of a “spatial album,” it allows users to relive memories in three dimensions.
The app offers three experience modes. “Photo Panel” is a mode that allows you to place photos like posters on the walls of your home. “Photo Space” allows you to view around 100 photos arranged in a spiral, following them chronologically with hand gestures. “Photo World” is a mode that lets you enter the three-dimensional space of a single photo 360 degrees and experience it while changing your viewpoint. Its distinctive feature is that it is not a completely virtual space, but is displayed in a way that overlaps with the real world.
Watanabe Koji, President and CEO, commented, “Photos and videos couldn’t fully convey the atmosphere and sense of presence of a place. TAVIO Dive is a service that realizes a new photo experience where you can step into the space of your memories and feel the sensations of that place.”
