HYBE JAPAN has announced the launch of “HYBE JAPAN VR NEXT STAGE 2026,” a year-round project to hold VR concerts. 2026, the third year since the project’s launch, marks the next stage of the project’s full-scale expansion, and the project plans to feature its largest lineup of artists to date.
The company’s VR concert business began in 2024. The first project was “HYPERFOCUS: TOMORROW X TOGETHER VR CONCERT” by TOMORROW X TOGETHER, held at movie theaters in five cities in Japan. On the first day of release, “#TXTZeroDistance” became a trending topic on X, and a visitor survey recorded customer satisfaction of over 99%. In 2025, they added a VR concert by ENHYPEN, and expanded the screening area.

The 2026 project will see a variety of artists from HYBE MUSIC GROUP appear in VR concerts throughout the year. Plans are also underway to further expand screening locations, including to regional cities, in the second half of 2026. Details of the first wave of artists will be announced soon.
The VR concert will be produced by AMAZE, a Korean company. Actual artists will be filmed specially for VR, creating content that recreates the experience as if they were in real life. By wearing a VR headset in a cinema seat, viewers can enjoy an immersive experience with 12K high-definition video and up to 7.1ch surround sound. Proprietary technologies such as AI Super Resolution will also be incorporated.
Lee Soo-hyun, head of HYBE JAPAN’s Music and Video Business Division, commented on the company’s future direction, saying, “In addition to HYBE’s artist IP, we would like to explore the possibility of open collaboration, such as joint performances with other companies’ artist IP.”
