On August 23rd, the official tournament “Splash Battle CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 SUMMER,” organized by the BOATRACE Promotion Foundation, will be held at the “BOATRACE VR ARENA” on the 1st floor of Tokyo Tower Foot Town. The day before, on August 22nd, the first official tournament for elementary and junior high school students, “Splash Battle YOUNG DERBY 2026 SUMMER,” will also be held at the same venue.
Both tournaments will utilize “BOATRACE VR Splash Battle,” a VR attraction that allows participants to steer a boat while feeling the wind, splashes, and vibrations. The tournament will be a real-time competition with six boats, and participation is free. Anyone who meets the eligibility requirements can participate, and a raffle will be held simultaneously for those who try the attraction.
The CHAMPIONSHIP is for ages 7 and up, while the YOUNG DERBY is for elementary and junior high school students. Registration on My Page is required for both. Top-ranked participants based on qualifying times will advance to the semi-finals, and the top two from each race will advance to the final. Gift certificates and other prizes will be awarded based on the final ranking.
Furthermore, for five days from August 17th to 21st, a “Free Trial Special Week” will be held, during which normally paid gameplay will be available for free. During this period, a time attack challenge will also be held daily for those who register on My Page for the first time, and top performers will receive Amazon gift certificates.
