HoloEarth, the metaverse service operated by Hololive Production, will cease operations on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 9 PM. An announcement was posted on the official website on May 14th.
HoloEarth is a service that has been developed as a virtual space where talents, creators, and users can connect, based on the theme of “another world.” Since its launch, it has been supported by many users and has continued to operate, but after careful consideration of the future provision of the service, the company has decided to terminate it.
Features will be gradually shut down in preparation for the service termination. The sale of paid HoloCoins will cease immediately with this announcement. At 11:59 PM on Wednesday, June 3rd, the sale of official paid items and creator items will cease, and new registrations, reviews, and editing on the HoloEarth Marketplace will also cease. The sale of official free items will continue until the service ends.
Unused paid HoloCoins and Points Creator will be refunded. The application period is from 12:00 PM on Monday, June 29, 2026 to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Details on the procedure will be announced after the service ends.
Payment statements for creators using the HoloEarth Marketplace will be available for download from the marketplace until May 31, 2027.
Project leader Ikko Fukuda commented, “As the project leader, I sincerely apologize for not being able to meet the expectations of everyone who has supported us so far.” He added that the technology and challenges cultivated through HoloEarth will be utilized in future Hololive Production initiatives.
