Launch of “Avatar Card Generation Service” that allows users to animate generated avatars using AR.

Curiosity, Inc. has launched an “Avatar Card Generation Service” that uses AI to automatically generate stylized avatars from photos taken by users and outputs them as cards.

When you take a photo, the AI processes everything from 3DCG conversion to rigging in one go, automatically generating a stylized avatar in a short amount of time. The generated avatar is printed out as a card on the spot, so you can take it home as a memento. You can choose from multiple design patterns for the avatar card, creating your own original card (*Rigging is the process of setting skeletal information for a 3D model so that it can be moved).

The generated avatar can be summoned into the real world using the AR app “AVATAVI”. You can enjoy moving the avatar around in the app, taking photos and videos, and more. Since it can be used simply by scanning a card with the app, it’s designed to be something you can continue to play with on a daily basis even after the initial experience.

The first trial event for this service will be held on Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th, 2026 at Minaterasu Tochigi Event Terrace in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. It will be held as part of the “2nd Annual Parent-Child Fun! Train Workshop,” which brings together railway-themed content, and you can also choose an event-exclusive train design card. The price for one avatar card (one card) is 500 yen. You can find more details about the first trial event here.
