Eye Silver Co., Ltd. has announced that it will begin distributing the “J7M” industrial AR headset, developed by Jorjin Technologies Inc. of Taiwan, to the Japanese market.
The J7M is an AR headset designed for industrial applications. It supports two methods: video passthrough, which overlays digital information onto camera footage, and optical seethrough, which overlays digital information onto the actual field of view. AR display can be switched depending on the work environment and application.
The tracking function employs a Hybrid 6DoF system that combines marker-based tracking and SLAM tracking. Marker tracking operates with an accuracy of approximately 1 mm in a workspace of 2 m or less, while SLAM tracking operates with an accuracy of less than 10 cm in a wide space. It also supports hand tracking operation without the need for a controller, allowing you to manipulate 3D models and graphical UI with hand movements.
It also features AI-powered MR (Mixed Reality) work support functions. These include three functions: LLM (Large-Scale Language Model) for interactive work support, RAG (Search Enhancement Generation) which generates answers by referencing internal manuals and knowledge bases, and VLM (Visual Language Model) which recognizes objects from camera footage. It is intended for use in a wide range of business applications, including manufacturing, maintenance, and training.
The PoC unit is scheduled to be available from June 2026. Sales of the mass-produced model are scheduled to begin in January 2027. Specifications and release dates are subject to change. Silver Eye Co., Ltd. will act as the domestic distributor and provide support for J7M implementation, PoC (Proof of Concept), and application development.
