From April 25th (Saturday) to June 28th (Sunday), the Fuji TV spherical observation deck “Hachitama” in Odaiba, Tokyo, will host “THE SUNSET OF MARS,” an event where you can experience a future trip to Mars in VR.
This project was planned in collaboration with ABAL Inc., Dentsu Inc., and Fuji Television Network, Inc. Participants will wear a VR headset and start by launching from Earth in a rocket. After a space journey, they will land on Mars, drive a rover across the red landscape, and visit a Martian base to learn about science.
In the climax, you can witness a stunning blue sunset over the Martian sky. You can also enjoy taking photos and selfies in the virtual space, and after the experience, you can download them to your smartphone and post them on social media.
Opening hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekends and holidays (last entry at 6:30 PM). Languages available are Japanese and English. Please check the official website for ticket purchases and further details.
