CinemaLeap Inc. has announced that it will open a large-scale XR experience facility, “IMMERSIVE JOURNEY Hiroshima (tentative name),” in the commercial complex “Pacela” in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The opening is scheduled for spring 2027. Pacela is being renovated by NTT Urban Development Corporation within the Motomachi Credo building, and the facility will be located on the 8th floor of the same building.
“IMMERSIVE JOURNEY” is one of Japan’s largest large-scale XR experience facilities, which opened in Yokohama in December 2024. Visitors wear head-mounted displays and can enjoy an immersive experience by freely walking around a vast virtual space. Up to four people can experience it simultaneously, and a key feature is that you can enjoy XR works from all over the world.
In January 2026, “IMMERSIVE JOURNEY Nagoya” opened as the first large-scale, permanent XR experience facility in the Tokai area, and Hiroshima will be the third location, following Yokohama and Nagoya.

In Yokohama and Nagoya, the VR experience “Horizon of Khufu,” set in ancient Egypt, is currently being shown. Produced by Excurio of France, the work has been experienced by over 2.5 million people in 27 cities worldwide. The experience allows players to journey through the world of 4500 years ago, including climbing to the top of a pyramid and attending a funeral service on the Nile River. Information regarding the Hiroshima release is scheduled to be announced in early 2027.
