A permanent, immersive VR theater, “Storydive Theater WAHHHP,” has opened in Shinjuku! The first installment is “The Eternal Gaudí.”

Mirai Sawaten Co., Ltd. will open a permanent immersive VR theater, “Storydive Theater WAHHHP,” in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The opening date is August 5, 2026.

As the first content offering at the facility, the Sagrada Familia Foundation will be showing a VR experience officially sanctioned by the Sagrada Familia Foundation, titled “Eternal Gaudí: Tracing the Miracle of the Sagrada Familia in VR.” The screening period is limited to December 31, 2026.

WAHHHP is a socially immersive theater where up to 30 people enter the same virtual space every 30 minutes, experiencing the show while wearing headsets and seeing each other. The show is available in five languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, and French.

“Gaudí Forever” is a work that opens to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Gaudí’s death and the completion of the main tower of the Sagrada Familia, the “Tower of Jesus.” The studio from 1926, which was destroyed by fire, has been recreated using academic documents, and visitors will be treated as his apprentices, taking in blueprints and stacking stones for the Sagrada Familia with their own hands, guided by Gaudí’s own voice.

The experience is comprised of four acts: a part where you relive Gaudí’s creative process, a part where you see how the laws of nature are transformed into architecture, a part where you walk through famous buildings such as the Sagrada Familia from the inside, and a part where you build the unfinished legend with your own hands.

The Sagrada Familia Foundation is the official Spanish organization responsible for the construction, preservation, and operation of the Sagrada Familia since its commencement in 1882. VR content certified by this foundation is rare in Spain and is considered an officially licensed work.

The facility is located on the 10th floor of the Yodobashi Shinjuku West Exit Station Building, a 1-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station Exit 7. Ticket prices start at 2,500 yen for adults, and 1,600 yen for those under 18 and people with disabilities. Tickets can be purchased on the official website and other platforms.
