On Friday, July 3, 2026, a new facility called “NAKAYOKU LAB” will open at Sanrio Character Park Harmony Land in Hiji Town, Oita Prefecture. In conjunction with this, the summer event “Hachamecha Summer Party!” (until September 15th) will also be held from the same day.
NAKAYOKU LAB is introducing a new attraction called “Sky Pal Collection,” which combines Honda’s mobility robot UNI-ONE with AR technology. UNI-ONE is a mobility robot operated by shifting your weight. Participants will wear AR glasses and board UNI-ONE to enjoy a “journey through the sky” with Sanrio characters. The experience includes flying through heart-shaped rings and finding characters in swirling vortices. The attraction is for ages 5 and up, and costs 500 yen per ride. It is available from 10:10 to 16:30 (approximately 10 minutes).
The facility will also offer an “AI Voice Guided Tour” utilizing UNI-ONE. This program, guided by an AI voice guide linked to location information, provides an integrated experience of movement, storytelling, and dialogue. A UNI-ONE with character wrapping exclusive to Harmony Land will be available. The tour is for ages 13 and up, and costs 500 yen per ride (held irregularly). Free trial sessions are also planned.
NAKAYOKU LAB will also feature a “calm-down space” and a “rest area.” The former is designed with consideration for people with sensory sensitivities, while the latter is a space for family and friends to relax.
NAKAYOKU LAB was developed under Sanrio’s corporate philosophy of “everyone getting along,” as a facility that can be enjoyed comfortably by people of all ages and backgrounds. The facility also includes the popular “Fairy Tale Workshop” and a newly established mini-shop.
