SoVeC Inc.’s “Sound XR Experience” will be permanently installed at Emma’s Theatre within Moominvalley Park in Hannō City, Saitama Prefecture. This will coincide with the park’s reopening on March 14, 2026.
The newly renovated “Emma’s Theatre” is an all-weather theater employing a uniquely shaped polygonal tent structure that is 10 meters high and 30 meters wide at its widest point. The large 4m x 7m LED screen and sound and lighting equipment have been completely revamped. Approximately 300 benches made from local Hannō City “Nishikawa timber” have been installed, transforming the theater into an environment where audiences can enjoy performances comfortably regardless of the weather.
The “XR Sound Experience” is a system that controls sounds generated in real time by the interactive sound engine “VAUD” using Sony’s 3D audio player. By placing multiple speakers throughout the space and controlling them in an integrated manner, it realizes a three-dimensional sound experience.
The newly revamped stage, “Short Story ~Spring Melody~,” offers an immersive experience of the Moomin story world through immersive 3D sound and synchronized light effects.
Details about “Emma’s Theatre” can be found on the Moominvalley Park official website.
