A novel starring Usada Pekora, a member of the female VTuber group “HoloLive,” titled “Usada Pekora Peko! Get Don-chan Back in Mysterious Country!” will be released by Shueisha Mirai Bunko. The release date is Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and the retail price is 880 yen (tax included).
This book is a completely original novel supervised by Usada Pekora. It is written by Kotoori Yuki and illustrated by Tori. It comes with full furigana and is a book that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from children to adults.
The story follows Pekora, who gets lost in a mysterious world during a stream, and her fan, a first-year middle school student named Yu, as they embark on a great adventure. The story unfolds in a world reminiscent of “Alice in Wonderland,” with Don-chan being stolen by the White Rabbit, her body growing and shrinking, and her being invited to a strange tea party. Another highlight is the resemblance of the Queen of Hearts to “a certain person.”
Usada Pekora herself commented, “Pekora’s novel is here!!! Peko worked hard on supervising it! Everyone, let’s go on an adventure in the mysterious land with Pekora!!”
From Hololive, VTuber Sakura Miko just released her first picture book, “Mikopi and the Big Sakura Tree,” from Froebel-kan Co., Ltd. in March 2026. This continues the trend of developing works for children.
Pre-orders and purchases for “Usada Pekora Peko! Get Don-chan Back in Mysterious Country!” can be made at bookstores or via the online bookstore banner on Shueisha’s official website.
