The experiential exhibition “VTUBER EXPO 2026” will be held for two days on May 3rd (Sun) and 4th (Mon, national holiday). The venue is on the first floor of Bellesalle Akihabara in Tokyo, and admission is basically free.
The purpose of this event is to develop and spread VTuber culture, and it is aimed not only at existing fans, but also at people who have never experienced VTuber culture and tourists visiting Japan.
Four experiential content experiences will be available at the venue. In the “Become a VTuber” corner, visitors will be able to transform into a VTuber on the spot using technology such as motion capture. In the “Talk” booth, visitors will be able to have one-on-one conversations with VTubers and enjoy a simulated tipping experience.
The “Play” stage will feature mini live shows and talk shows by popular VTubers, as well as announcements of new projects. The “Learn” area will feature a wide range of booths, from major productions to individual artists, and will also feature limited collaboration booths with partner companies.
Applications are now open for the participatory project “VTuber Wall.” Active VTubers and V-Livers will provide their own icon images to decorate the walls of the venue. Applications are open until the end of March 2026. Applications can be made through the dedicated form.
A collaboration with “Life Like a Live! (commonly known as L3),” a festival that brings together over 50 virtual idols, has also been decided. Details will be released in the future. Exhibitor information and stage programs will be announced on the official website and official X.
