MyDrearest Inc. has released a VRChat world called “Astronomy Club.” In this world, you can enjoy stargazing while interacting with “Amua,” who becomes your pet.
This time, we’ll be introducing the world of the “Astronomical Observation Club.”

(The world is a classroom at night. As the title suggests, it has the feel of an astronomy club room.)

(First, we move outside. I wonder what awaits us…)
I took pictures of stars with a telescope and got an amua!
In the “Astronomical Observation Club,” you can collect pets called “Amuas” that are born from stars photographed with a telescope. There are many different kinds of stars, including shooting stars, celestial bodies like the sun and Saturn, and you might even encounter the unknown, such as a UFO!
When you place a photograph you’ve taken onto an “astrolabe” (an ancient astronomical observation instrument), you can summon “Amua,” which are unique creatures with animal-like appearances. The Amua summoned will differ depending on the celestial body you photograph, and each Amua has its own rarity level. The animation also seems to change depending on the rarity level.
There are a whopping 45 different types of Amua! The Amua you collect are registered in your “Ghost Notebook,” where you can learn about their ecology. Information about the Amua you’ve collected is saved and accumulated in the world, and you can reread it whenever you visit. It’s designed to appeal to collectors, making it a place you’ll want to keep coming back to.
And you can take only one summoned Amua with you wherever you go in the world! You can pet it, hold it, and have physical contact with it. One of its charms is that it expresses emotions only to its owner, such as smiling, getting angry, or even sleeping. Even when you’re alone in the world, you’re sure to have fun with Amua by your side. The more time you spend in the same space with Amua, the more attached you’ll become. I can just picture you being soothed when Amua comes running to you with a smile when you return to this world.

The fun expands with paid subscriptions
In this world, if you subscribe to a paid plan through VRChat’s group function, you can become a member of the Observation Astronomical Club and receive various benefits. You can name Amua, summon Amua from your notebook whenever you want, and Amua will grow and change appearance—there are plenty of features that will make you feel even more attached to Amua.
As a bonus for being a member, you’ll be able to activate “STARLUSH” once a day, which will make Taku’s shooting stars and celestial bodies appear, giving you a chance to obtain rare Amua. Members in the instance can also view “STARLUSH” together, so it’s a chance to capture Taku’s stars in a photo all at once.
Furthermore, you can purchase 3D data of Amua to use with your avatar at the official BOOTH shop. Amua obtained in this world can only be taken with you in this world, but those purchased from BOOTH can be taken with you in other worlds as well. Taking photos with your adorable Amua in other worlds will surely create many memories.
A special moment to contemplate the universe.
There was also a section introducing the activities of the Asahi Shimbun’s “Asahi Shimbun Space Department.” It seems like it could be a good opportunity to learn about real space.
Spending a night with Amua under a quiet starry sky gives us time to pause from our busy daily lives of work and study. Watching the stars slowly move, stroking Amua, and sipping a warm drink… Why not spend such a moment in this world?
