Starting at 5 PM on September 9th, 2026, digital fashion for VRChat based on “Matsuken Samba II” will be available for purchase at the digital fashion marketplace TOKYO AVATAR GATE. There are three variations available. A set including a kimono outfit and dance motion/music gimmick will be priced at 1,650 yen, while the kimono outfit and gimmick alone will be priced at 1,100 yen each (all prices include tax).
The product was created based on the 3D model and motion data used in Matsudaira Ken’s virtual live performance. The golden kimono will be available as an outfit for compatible avatars. A gimmick that plays the music and dance motions is also implemented. In addition to playing as the character in the kimono, you can also enjoy dancing with your usual avatar or your own outfits.
A limited-time event will also be held within VRChat. The event will run from around 5 PM on September 12th to around 11:59 PM on October 2nd. During the event, an all-night Matsuken Time Signal will be held every hour at 5 minutes past the hour, where you can enjoy a live performance of Matsuken Samba II. On Fridays, the signal will be held twice a day, at 5 minutes past the hour and 35 minutes past the hour. You can ride a mirror ball and dance together with all the participants.
In addition, the world features a mini-game where you search for all 10 mini-Kens Matsudaira, and a photo spot where you can take commemorative photos with a 3D model of Ken Matsudaira and a yagura (a type of Japanese tower). You can also use a photo filter that adds golden confetti to the photos you take. These gimmicks were created by V Inc.
