[Experience Report] Suisei Hoshimachi’s virtual live concert “STELLAR in Fortnite”: From aerial dives and beam rifles to the “Bibbidi-Ba” emote, it was packed with content!

As of May 7, 2026, the popular TPS battle royale game “Fortnite” is hosting an interactive music performance by VTuber Suisei Hoshimachi titled “Suisei Hoshimachi LIVE 2026 ~STELLAR in Fortnite~”.

This event is a virtual live concert held in the Fortnite creative map “STELLAR in Fortnite.” You can enjoy Suisei Hoshimachi’s singing while exploring the map.

“STELLAR in Fortnite” was produced by the Japanese game studio Black Tower Studios. The production tool used was Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) (*UEFN: A tool that allows you to create games and experiences for Fortnite, and it can use many of the features implemented in “Unreal Engine 5”).

In this world, you can enjoy performances of Suisei Hoshimachi singing “Stellar Stellar,” “I don’t care,” and “Bibbidi-Ba.”

Upon entering the map, a countdown to the start of the live performance begins in the waiting area. When the count reaches zero, the floor disappears, and you are transported to a space-like area where the performance of “Stellar Stellar” begins. The live performance video is displayed on a screen at the back of the world, and you can move to any location you like to watch the performance.

As the song progresses, we are suddenly transported to a futuristic cityscape. The excitement continues to build. “Stellar Stellar” is filled with lyrics related to night, so it’s likely that these elements were used as inspiration for this kind of presentation.

The second song, “Mou Dou Natte mo Ii ya” (I Don’t Care), is also famous as the ending theme song for “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX,” which aired in 2025. Perhaps because of this, the performance was set on the lunar surface, littered with the wreckage of giant robots.

Amazingly, during the performance, you can play mini-games such as collecting stars and shooting targets with beams. The score is determined by a system where everyone on the map competes, and the person who comes in first place will receive a small “reward” after the live performance ends.

What’s interesting is the shooting game. Everyone is aiming for a high score and firing their beam rifles, so the effect of laser beams flying around the screen spontaneously arises from the audience. I felt that this created a space sci-fi atmosphere.

The final song, “Bibbidi-Ba,” seems to be based on the filming location from the music video and a nighttime street as the performance venue. In fact, prior to this live performance, Suisei Hoshimachi’s skin and the “Bibbidi-Ba emote” were implemented in Fortnite, and they really shine in this part of the show.

While there are no mini-games during the “Bibbidi-Ba” performance, you can earn points and create excitement by using emotes in specific locations (within the circle).

After the live performance ends, you enter the building. This is an exhibition floor where items closely associated with Suisei Hoshimachi are displayed, such as glass slippers and juice cartons. There are also photo booths themed after each song. Here, you can take commemorative photos while still basking in the afterglow of the live performance.

Incidentally, this map can accommodate up to 8 players. It might be fun to enjoy it alone first, and then “replay” it with friends afterward.

While the end date for the map’s public availability hasn’t been announced yet, it’s only available for a limited time, so those interested should check it out soon!
