Cluster Inc. will be holding a talk event, “Cluster Station DX,” on March 31st at 9 PM. The event will announce the future development plans for “cluster,” the metaverse platform operated by the company, as well as several new initiatives for creators.
Since its launch, cluster has continuously provided an environment that supports creators’ creative activities, including allowing individual commercial use, in-world purchase functions, and gift functions. Since 2020, it has also hosted the production contest series “ClusterGAMEJAM,” demonstrating a track record of growing the platform together with the community. This event is positioned as a place to directly communicate the initiatives for the next phase of this growth.
On the day of the event, CEO Kato Naoto and Manager Product Tomine will be taking the stage. CEO Kato will discuss cluster’s future direction, based on his vision of “creating an OS for a co-creation space that connects all people, things, and technologies.”
New initiatives for creators will be announced in accordance with four principles. First, expanding the entry point for creation by improving and enhancing the World Craft function. Second, adding new functions that will make the use of virtual spaces more diverse, such as a paid ticket function. Third, strengthening the spatial specifications, centered on Cluster Script, and working on supporting co-creation with AI. Fourth, strengthening connections with the community. (*Cluster Script is a scripting function for creating interactive spaces on cluster.)
Furthermore, as a community initiative, the first-ever “ClusterCup,” a large-scale world craft contest for junior and senior high school students, is scheduled to be held. The aim is to nurture the next generation of creators, and details will be announced on the day of the event. In addition, a new program, “Station Cluster for Creator,” aimed at increasing interaction with creators, is expected to be regularly held on cluster.
The event will be held on cluster and will also be streamed on YouTube. Prior download of the cluster app is required to participate. The app is compatible with smartphones, tablets, PCs, and VR devices.
