On September 28th, uyet Inc. released the “2026 Survey on the Situation Actual of VTuber Activities and Lifestyle/Health.” The survey was conducted by haico Online Clinic, which is operated by the company for streamers. Responses were obtained from 311 VTubers and V-Livers.
The survey will be conducted via an online questionnaire from July 6th to August 9th, 2026. The questionnaire will consist of 26 questions covering topics such as activity levels, lifestyle, sleep, diet, exercise, physical symptoms, mental health, and medical consultations.
The results show that approximately 70% of respondents reported experiencing mental health issues related to their activities. Around 80% also reported continuing their activities despite feeling unwell. Regarding sleep, about 90% had some kind of problem, with the most common being daytime sleepiness. Other common complaints included not feeling rested even after sleeping, sacrificing sleep for activities, and difficulty falling asleep.
Regarding this situation, Haico Online Clinic points out that it may not be due to a lack of health awareness, but rather a structure that prevents people from taking breaks. They believe that many people feel that taking a break itself poses a risk to their activities, and therefore continue broadcasting while feeling unwell.
However, this survey is based on voluntary participation and does not statistically represent all VTubers and V-Livers. Uyet Co., Ltd. also published an article based on this survey on its VTuber-focused media, uyet media.
This article is an English translation of an original Japanese article, translated by the Mogura VR editorial team.
