Novel Terror has announced the publication of the popular work “The Girl Who Connects Souls Hears the Voices of the Dead – Until I, Betrayed, Regain My Belief” by independent VTuber Mikeneko. It went on sale in bookstores nationwide on July 21, 2026. The price is 1,540 yen (tax included).
The story’s protagonist is Litia, a girl with the power to hear the voices of the dead and touch their souls. Raised as an orphan, she has been isolated because of her power, but she meets Aurelia, the son of the kingdom’s prime minister, falls in love with him, and becomes engaged to him. While she enjoys peaceful and happy days, inexplicable incidents occurring in the capital city, the whispers of the dead, and a strange change lurking within her fiancé begin to drag her into the abyss. Torn between her desire to believe in the man she loves and the truth revealed by the dead, the girl is forced to make a decision to defy fate.
Terror Novel is a novel sharing platform that launched in July 2017. It is basically free to use, and has surpassed 7.6 million downloads in Japan (as of March 2025). This book publication is the first work to be published under the novel label “Terror Novels,” which was launched in January 2026. It also marks the first collaborative project with “Freedia,” a brand developed by Tohan.
