In VRChat, a wide variety of content is released day and night, from game worlds where you can play with friends to scenic worlds perfect for relaxing. In this series, we will pick out and introduce some of the most visually appealing worlds from the vast number of available worlds.
This time, we’ll introduce “Linlang,” a world where ancient architecture from the remote regions of China is infused with a fantastical spirit.
“Linlang” was created by creator Yunshaya. It’s a VR world where you can visit places like those found in fantasy movies and anime, reminiscent of Chinese mythology and fairy lands. The atmosphere is like a combination of buildings like the Humble Administrator’s Garden in Suzhou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the mountains around the Li River in Guilin, a famous scenic spot.
What surprised me most upon entering the world stage was the overwhelming “world-class power” and the strong sense of clarity and purity that was so palpable.
Having played “VRChat” for several years, I pride myself on having seen a fair number of worlds, but in “Linlang,” after respawning, I found myself standing still for a while, just gazing at the scenery.
The giant cherry trees and the fang-like rock faces are impressive, but if you look back at the entrance, you can see the majestic rock formations towering over the building. The sheer scale of it made it difficult to fit it all into the camera frame when taking pictures.
Also, upon entering this world, a guardian lion-dog will appear in front of you and follow you. It might be positioned as a mascot for “Linlang”.
The garden is basically designed so that visitors proceed straight ahead, but various objects are placed around it. The most prominent of these are the cherry blossoms, but there are also many other points of interest such as Taihu stones and lotus flowers, and the pond itself has beautiful colors as the cherry blossoms and trees are reflected in it.

Incidentally, this world incorporates a feature where the seasons change depending on the time of day. Immediately after respawning, it’s a winter landscape, but after a while it changes to a lush spring scene. It would be interesting to take pictures at both times and compare the differences.
By the time you leave the garden, you’ll be even closer to the “Bridge Rock” that you could see from the entrance. A dragon is flying around above the rock, which is also fascinating to watch. If you go left from the exit, you’ll come to a large tree adorned with autumn leaves.
Personally, my favorite part is the sunlight that shines through the gaps in these branches.
“Linlang” is a world where you can enjoy the magnificent nature of China through a fantasy setting. Currently, some areas have objects that appear to be temporary, so it’s possible that more elements will be added in the future. We look forward to future updates.
